That first photo gets me.

I think photography shouldn’t be only about capturing all the perfect, happy moments- it’s also about telling stories as they unfold.

In this frame, you can see a tiny tear close to the daughters eye, but also a faint smile because mom pulled her close. I love the comfort it speaks of.

No need to erase the sad moments - they are part of life.

That’s beautiful photography - the kind that speaks truth.

Does God put you in crappy situations? Nope. But He loves to help get you outta them. He loves to show up in a BIG way when you need Him. 🤍

Also- vs 9 is great: … but we are never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.

He’s always reaching for you- don’t be afraid to take His hand so He can pull you out to a better place. 🙌🏻

Can you feel it too? Something has shifted on social media lately. More people are choosing to share their faith with boldness, even if it means losing thousands of followers. And I love it. 🤍

On apps where success is measured in numbers & views… we are finding more contentment in speaking the Truth than going viral.

I’ve also seen more hate rise up, but I believe that as the darkness grows darker, the light only shines brighter.

The truth is simple: Jesus is the only hope for this broken nation and for the world. We’ve spent too long trying to push Him out, trying to do life on our own. But deep down, we know it never gives us what our hearts truly crave.

You can’t have real love or peace when you remove the very One who is Love from the equation.

My life and my business will always be centered on Christ. If it doesn’t glorify Him, I don’t want it.

My prayer is that we continue to stand boldly in our faith, shining as the light this world is searching for. And if you’ve felt that same shift, if you’ve felt the courage rise to speak truth, if you’ve lost followers because of your faith - you are not alone. I will always stand with Him, and with you.

Meet @brittneyashtonphoto & @sarabridges! Sara is my official assistant for all the retreats. 🤗 She’s a personal trainer, and does yoga/stretching/light work outs for anyone who wants to join in the mornings, and also prepares all our food and is all-around a bright ray of sunshine during all our travels!

Brittney is an AMAZING photographer, and my CO planner since she lived here for years. She helps find the best locations and lodging for us. She’s also VERY passionate about the moose here, and is normally out the door by 5:30am to grab some wildlife shots (and you’re welcome to join her!)

Some weeks just feel heavier than others. No matter how much I plan, prep, or try to stay on top of things, there are still moments when it feels like too many plates are spinning and I can’t keep them all from falling.

Motherhood can be like that… full of effort, full of love - and yet it doesn’t always feel like you’re getting ahead. Sometimes the routine feels endless, like you’re trapped in a freakin hamster wheel.

But I keep coming back to this truth: these days are not wasted. The little things… the meals, the laundry, the hugs, the reminders, the patience even when it’s stretched thin - they all matter. They are shaping my kids in ways I don’t even see right now. Motherhood is Holy, beautiful, messy work. 🙌🏻🤍

Your days are so precious. The repetitiveness that you feel is actually, day by day, laying the foundation for your kids’ future and the adults they will become.

If it feel heavy right now, I just want you to know - what you’re doing matters more than you realize. 🫶🏻 Don’t stop, you’re shaping their futures every day.

I used to find a lot of my worth in being busy - always hustling, never slowing down, rarely coming up for air. But, after years of living like that- I don’t believe that’s how we were created to live.

We need time to step away, to breathe, to reconnect with our Creator and find peace for our soul. Please don’t ever feel guilty for making time for yourself. Even if it’s just three minutes outside with your bare toes in the grass and a deep breath - do it. Staying connected to the one who gives us peace will always be our best. Lifeline. 🤍

You’re worth it. And you need it. 💛
