Ladies… I've got ONE spot left and I’m looking for the right person to join me in a week and a half for my BLÜM Retreat!!

Not only do I have 2 gorgeous styled sessions scheduled in the breath-taking Wichita Mountains (just a 3 hour drive from Tulsa), but we will also be staying in a spacious Air bnb on 5 acres where you can relax and learn with other amazing photographers!

When we aren't shooting, we will be going over editing, client styling, location scouting and whatever else you may need help with during one-on-one time with me. My heart is to take allll my years of experience and pour everything I can into you so your business can succeed and you can create art you are proud of!

Oh hey. 👋🏻 It’s me.

If you are here and we haven’t met yet - welcome! I’m Holly. I’ve been doing photography for longer than I care to mention, but it’s jus been the last few years that I feel like I finally found my voice and started creating art that I adored….and was also connected with the most beautiful clients who loved it too. (Mostly on here.) I’m a single mom, and photography is my full-time job.

I have 3 kiddos, too many chickens to count, a rabbit, a cat and a Great Pry named Luna. I homeschool and survive on Jesus and many shots of expresso daily. (Normally 4.)

I LOVE photography for so many reasons- close to the top of that list is that it allows me to be home with my kiddos during the day and still create the life I want for them. I believe kids should be FREE to run, play, and explore this beautiful world and those desires for my children fuel the art in my photography.

I want to capture your children just as they are… wild doesn’t bother me one bit. Tantrums.. bring em on. :) It’s all part of this amazing life and we will work through whatever is going on with your family in the moment. I believe every stage is beautiful and worth documenting.

The first photo session after a loss is always bittersweet. It’s a demonstration of strength, showing that you can survive through the most devastating of circumstances.

It can be a celebration of the future and what is to come, but also holds a lingering sadness for the one who is missing.

This is such a sacred space to capture, and we could feel their father with us as the session unfolded… in his daughters laugh, in his sons eyes, the way the oldest holds his mothers hand… he still lives on through them.

I know their daddy is watching from Heaven and so proud of everything they’ve come through- and the kind, loving hearts that they all have. @stephmichelle1988, you’re an amazing mother and your babies are so incredibly blessed to have you. 🥰

One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is when a woman sees herself in a photo and says “Oh my gosh! Is that ME?”

The flaws we may notice don’t ruin us, quite the opposite - they tell our story. They make us beautifully unique.

I think it can be so uplifting & healing to see ourselves through another’s lens. I love showing women how strong, resilient, and gorgeous they really are. 🖤

Okay, in all seriousness… AI can be super helpful. But, I do think all the advances in tech also can take away the need to LEARN how your camera actually functions. Knowing you can just #fixitlater, it can be tempting to skip over how important it can be to nail the shot in your camera.

I think that when used correctly, it can be a great time-saver.

PART TWO
Okay, so what do you do if you don’t feel like you can raise your prices?

➡️ Pinpoint WHY you feel like that and CHANGE IT. In all honesty, you can’t expect to have a thriving career without investing in yourself and in your craft! 🫶🏻

➡️ Could it be insecurities? Perhaps family or friends told you that you weren’t good enough? Kindly shut that mess down! 😊 I had people close to me tell me I that couldn’t make it on my own as a photographer. I could have let that stop me, but instead it fueled my fire to have a successful business. 🔥 YOU can do this!!

➡️ Or perhaps you just know there are areas you need to improve in? Go grab a notebook right now (do it, I’m not kidding😉) and write them down.

Is it editing?
Having a better understanding of how your camera works?
Finding your style?

Whatever it is FIND SOMEONE 👀 who does what you need help with, and learn from them! Online classes, YouTube, workshops, retreats- there’s so much good education out there. Learning from someone who is already successful will get you to where you want to be so much more quickly!

Photographers!! (And other service-based small businesses) Can we pretty please stop this race to the bottom? 🙏🏻 It makes me so sad to watch new photographers quit after a year or two because they are SO burnt out from not running a sustainable business.

I know things can be rough starting out, and I know the economy isn’t fantastic right now… but we need to KNOW our worth & cost of doing business AND charge accordingly.

It’s amazing how you can spend such a short amount of time in a place and how much of your heart it can steal away. Maui is such a magical island, and being surrounded by so much beauty and raw power revived my soul.

Watching the powerful waves crash against the cliffs made my life concerns seem smaller. I think that’s why God made such beautiful and majestic places - so we could feel His Power and know that He is ever-present with us.

I’m so thankful for the time away, and so excited to share with you all the images captured while I was there. 🌺 Thank you for this time @haileyfaria - I will always hold it close.
